Turns out, that getting ready to go to a party is one of the most stressful steps of the night [men can agree that waiting for the girl is the most for them]. Well for that reason, do you happen to know the most commonly used fashion trends for a party this Summer?
Elle France May 2011, has shown us what are the perfect trends to wear to a party this Summer. Having confidence at the party does not only mean to have fun while you once arrive, but also, to have fun at the process of getting ready. So here, I present to you, what to wear to a party in details. So get ready to go run to your closet, and get this party started!!!!
1. The Color Block Club: This summer, color blocking is HUGE! Color blocking mixes large swaths of color to get an effect that is both stylish and statement- making. You can use clothing items that will contrast with skin complexion such as corals, pinks, oranges, blues, yellows, etc. [anything BOLD]. Now, if you don't want to be too daring, then pop up with accessories using bright colors. That way, you won't be center of attention, but yet you are making a good statement.
2. Gang Bandes: Believe it or not, sweaters are in this summer. Obviously, I do not recommend to wear thick sweaters, but just wear thin and cool fabrics. The ideal look is half sleeve to long sleeves with shorts or skirts. It looks amazing! Also, this summer's trend is stripes. Wear LOTS of stripes!!!! Try wearing dominant stripes rather than bold stripes. We all know that navy and white nautical stripes are a must!
3. Veggie girls: Well as you have notcied so far that a lot of color is being used, the tropical trend definitely defines it. While using vibrant colors and hypnotic accents, feel as if your city is a tropical, warm and glamorous beach. Use light blue tones to yellows and golds in order to bring in the tropical sky, warm sunlight and the captivation of the ocean.
4. Western Union: We've seen this look many times in the past, as fashion followers feel like this trend is falling apart, some designers take the time to keep it going and make more effort into keeping it in style this summer. As the western look is about wearing leather, cowboy boots, and corsets, designers are introducing a grand variety of denim within the collections. Wearing denim jackets, denim dresses and skirts, denim jumpsuits and full looks [tops plus bottoms], are a great American-Western look this summer, so be sure to look for your old denim hidden in your closet.
5. Jungle Belles: Coexisting with beautiful solid colors and shades with interesting prints are big this Summer. Although animal print theme is not really dominant for this time of year, designers are really using it on the runway. A way that it is being used is by not wearing the typical good old white and black, or brown and black leopard prints, but by playing around and complimenting playful colors using unique ways of creating a spectrum within the prints. A good way of wearing this trend, is by wearing solid colors and wearing the animal prints in handbags, shoes, and accessories. Be daring, it looks great!
6. Graces Antiques: Think of the romantic Grecian goddesses, the 1950's pinup girls, and the 70's Bohemian looks. From empire waisted dresses to high-waisted bottoms to baggy clothing; this trends are my personal favorite! With this specific look, you want to be crisp and clean with the whites. Wearing all white, with touch of floral accessories or blacks here and there, is the fastest way of wearing a "fresh" look this summer. I believe every girl needs a cute white dress in any shape and form.
7. Punky Dolls: This sumer, the "punk" trend is combined from previous trends that emerged to becoming the punky dolls. This summer, this look includes a little of military, gothic, and grunge looks. This girl is known to be the stronger, edgier, and more versatile of trends. This look, is very dangerous and is easy to become exaggerated. To prevent any criticizing, you want to look dominant as possible yet with a personal unique over the top detail.
Now that you know what to wear this summer, find a party or event to attend, and go have a party in your closet. Try out different looks, and dare to be the statement of the party. There's nothing wrong with being the center of attention, right?
